Assumes constant dividends, a full year held, and all modeled payments made in cash. Monthly amounts are averages, not a payment calendar. Dividends may change or go unpaid.
Same dividend. Different yield.
A $12 annual dividend produces a 12% yield at a $100 purchase price, or 12.63% at $95. Your purchase price changes the yield on cost.

Annual dividend per share = stated amount × annual rate ÷ 100. Annual income = shares × annual dividend per share. Combined yield on cost = total annual income ÷ total purchase cost × 100.
Investment mode buys the modeled shares and leaves any remainder as uninvested cash. Target mode solves each position’s income target separately, rounding up when whole shares are selected. It does not optimize the allocation between securities.
Income estimates exclude taxes, fees, reinvestment, price changes, accrued dividends, and partial-year payment eligibility. Yield on cost is not total return or yield to call.
STRC dividend calculator
Choose STRC · Strategy to estimate income from an investment amount or find the capital needed for a monthly income target. The purchase price starts with the latest available market quote. Adjust it if needed, then review the annual dividend assumption. If you already own STRC, use Shares owned and your average purchase price.
For example, $10,000 invested at $100 buys 100 shares. With an illustrative $12 annual dividend per share, that models $1,200 a year, a $100 monthly equivalent and 12% yield on cost.

Choose SATA · Strive and enter your investment amount, shares owned or monthly income target. The latest available market quote fills the purchase price; use your actual cost basis for shares you already own. Review the annual dividend assumption to calculate your purchase cost, income and yield on cost. You can also add SATA alongside STRC to model both positions.
At an illustrative $100 purchase price and $13 annual dividend per share, $10,000 buys 100 shares and models $1,300 a year, or about $108.33 a month, at 13% yield on cost. A monthly equivalent averages annual income; it does not predict the size or dates of individual payments.
November 2026 declaration: the annual rate remains 13%, with 19 business-day payments of $0.0571 per share ($1.0849 for the month). The amended weekend-payment definition has no anticipated near-term effect on payment cadence. View SATA terms and payment dates.

Choose SATS · Strive to model the 15% fixed rate on a $100 stated amount: $15 per share annually, or a $1.25 monthly equivalent. New positions start at the $90 IPO price, not a live market quote. Change it to compare purchase-price scenarios; shared and custom inputs are preserved.
At $90 per share, $9,000 models 100 shares and $125 a month. A $1,000 monthly target requires 800 shares and $72,000, at 16.67% yield on cost. At an illustrative $100, the same 800 shares cost $80,000 and still model $1,000 a month, at 15% yield on cost.
The IPO closed October 20. The October 21 dividend declaration sets an initial $0.8710 payment on November 9 (record date November 6), followed by 13 business-day payments of $0.0658 through November 30. Scheduled November cash totals $1.7264 per share including the initial catch-up; these annualized calculator scenarios continue to use $15 per year and a $1.25 monthly equivalent. SATS is junior to SATA; its funded dividend reserve does not guarantee future payments. Review SATS terms or add SATS to the retirement planner.
Purchase price is what you pay; the stated amount is what the dividend rate applies to. Yield on cost equals annual dividend income divided by purchase cost. Review the dated defaults under Dividend assumptions, and change them to test a lower-income case. These examples assume unchanged dividends for a full year, before taxes and fees; dividends can change or go unpaid.
