Strategy Shareholders Approve Daily Dividends as STRC Nears $100
Daily payments could help STRC trade more steadily near par and support Bitcoin purchases with less reliance on the MSTR common-share ATM.

Strategy shareholders have approved daily dividends on the company’s four U.S.-listed preferreds, according to preliminary voting results released October 28. STRC goes first in November, with STRF, STRK and STRD following in January. Implementation remains subject to the amended certificates being filed and becoming effective.
STRC traded as high as $99.85 intraday on October 28, bringing it within 15 cents of its $100 stated amount on the day of the vote.
For preferred holders, the immediate benefit is more frequent income. For MSTR common holders, the bigger opportunity is what a steadier STRC trading around par could make possible: more preferred-funded Bitcoin purchases and less reliance on issuing common shares.
What changes
STRC moves from semi-monthly dividends to daily dividends. STRF, STRK and STRD move from quarterly.
| Preferred | First daily record date | First daily payment |
|---|---|---|
| STRC | November 1, 2026 | November 2, 2026 |
| STRF, STRK and STRD | January 1, 2027 | January 4, 2027 |
Every calendar day becomes a record date, including weekends and holidays, with the related dividend payable on the next business day. Weekend payments get bundled: dividends with November 6, 7 and 8 record dates all pay November 9. Trading and settlement rules still determine who receives them. The payment-frequency change does not increase annualized dividend rates. STRC’s current variable rate is 12%; STRF is 10%, STRK 8%, and STRD 10% non-cumulative. Holders receive smaller payments more frequently.
Why daily payments could help STRC
A larger periodic dividend creates a more concentrated event around the ex-dividend date. Moving to daily dividends spreads those adjustments across much smaller amounts.
The aim is smoother trading, less dividend-related price movement and more consistent liquidity. Strategy has explicitly identified price stability, reduced reinvestment lag and stronger investor demand as reasons for the change.
For income investors, the appeal is easy to understand. Cash arrives throughout the month, ready to spend or reinvest. For STRC, that convenience could help build a more consistent base of buyers.
Strive offered an early example when it moved SATA to business-day dividends in June. Daily income gave retail investors a feature to get excited about, and Strategy’s own investor-relations chief has acknowledged studying SATA’s experience, saying Strive saw “a lot of success” with the change.
Why $100 matters for the Bitcoin accumulation machine
Strategy’s stated policy is not to issue STRC below $100. Its objective is sustained trading near that level, supported by liquidity, low volatility and independent investor demand.
That makes a return to par more than a milestone on a price chart.
If daily dividends help reduce STRC’s volatility and support enough demand at or above $100, Strategy could issue additional STRC to fund Bitcoin purchases while easing off the MSTR common-share ATM.
STRC is non-convertible preferred equity. Issuing it does not directly increase MSTR’s common-share count, although it adds preferred claims and an ongoing dividend burden.
That is the potential benefit for common holders: another way to keep accumulating Bitcoin without funding every purchase through new common shares. Whether it improves the economics for MSTR holders depends on the amount raised, how the proceeds are deployed and the cost of servicing that capital.
Our take
The move toward $100 is encouraging. The next test is whether STRC can sustain that level while absorbing new issuance.
Daily dividends could help by making the preferred easier to own and reducing some of the trading friction around larger payment dates. They cannot eliminate market risk or guarantee demand.
If the change works as intended, preferred holders get a smoother income stream, Strategy gains a more dependable source of capital, and MSTR holders could see less reliance on the common ATM to fund Bitcoin purchases.
That is the opportunity behind the vote: daily income helping keep the Bitcoin accumulation machine running.
