Shares for 1 BTC, over time
How many shares represent the same Bitcoin backing?
Methodology & sources
Shares per BTC = 100,000,000 ÷ sats per share. This chart always measures 1 BTC, independently of your position and hypothetical target. Share counts round up; chart values and percentages retain full precision. A falling line means fewer shares for the same gross backing, not fewer shares outstanding. BTC per share is the inverse: its change equals starting shares per BTC ÷ ending shares per BTC − 1.
All history shows every available date range for the selected basis. Other ranges count backward from the latest disclosure, not today. The first reported date inside that window is the baseline; it can be later than the requested boundary. The last actual observation in each Monday–Sunday week, calendar month or calendar quarter is shown, plus the first observation in the range. Steps connect reported snapshots; missing periods are not new disclosures. Weekly changes use reports 6–8 days apart and are independent of the selected range and frequency.
Gross backing excludes debt and preferred claims. CEBE is a separate net measure using basic/effective common shares. Neither represents redeemable Bitcoin or investment returns.

Test a hypothetical BTC/share growth rate. This does not project the stock price.
Approximately 4.3 years at this BTC/share growth assumption.
Filing-locked ratio
BTC equivalent equals shares multiplied by the selected company’s reported sats per share.
One variable
The path model compounds BTC/share only. It makes no assumption about a future stock price.
Today's cost
Dollar estimates use the current share price only to show what the required position would cost today.
How do you calculate shares representing 1 BTC?
Divide 100,000,000 by the selected sats per share. At a hypothetical 200,000 sats per share, 500 shares represent 1 BTC of backing. If your broker only supports whole shares, round up when targeting at least that amount. Net CEBE uses a different backing figure, and a growth scenario is not a forecast or a claim on redeemable Bitcoin.
